Customer reviewsCrib is falling apart after 17 months
This crib was purchased for us in January 2012 for our baby to be born in April 2012. The crib appeared sturdy and well made when we first put it together and the directions were very easy to follow. We used the Safety 1st Grow With Me 2 in 1 Crib and Toddler Mattress and it fits very snugly. Fast forward till June 2013 and our 1 year old will NOT sleep in his crib so we think, try the toddler bed feature, what have we got to lose It comes with the toddler safety rail and although our LO is on the young side to sleep in a toddler bed, this may make it more appealing for him. So we begin to unscrew the bolts and that is where things start going wrong. When we first assembled this bed, we did it with the intention that everything would be screwed in firmly but not to over screw anything. When we took it apart last weekend, the wood around some of the bolts started splintering. The front top rail above the front slats was almost stuck and we have to pull to get it to come off. That pulling left the front top part of the crib a splintered mess. We then tried to install the toddler rail and the thing started splintering as we bolted it into place. I would not buy this crib again, I would not sell this crib to someone else, and I wouldn t give this crib to some poor unsuspecting young family. A baby would surely hurt themselves on this flimsy bed. This was NOT a good crib, and unfortunately we are now in the market for a new crib after owning this one a little over a year.
