Customer reviewsSatisfied with purchase yet with one major annoyance
Overall, my wife and I are satisfied with the fit and finish of the Delta Bentley crib. With only one exception, each piece was machined and painted well, and fit together with adequate precision. The single issue we encountered concerning assembly of the crib was the discovery that two holes meant to line up for a retaining pin were somewhat offset. Ultimately, this did not prevent assembly we merely had to apply more torque to the adjacent connecting screws in order to pull the two parts together. Once assembled, the crib seems to be rather sturdy, and we expect it to hold up well. I was particularly impressed by the construction of the matress support. I expected it to be a slab of MDF board held up with run-of-the-mill shelf pegs. To my pleasant surprise, its actually an all-metal design, incorporating a tubular frame with a spring-connected center wire grid. So in form and function, it seems to be great. Further, it looks good, too, from a distance. And this leads me to my one major gripe concerning this crib which is this Delta s manufacturer s stock photographs of the crib are tantamount to false advertising Take a good look at the official product photos for this crib. Do you see any exposed screw heads or fasteners Neither did we, and seemingly having no visible screws was the main reason we chose this crib by Delta over several other manufacturer s offerings. However, as I began to assemble this crib, it became apparent very quickly that this crib does indeed have screws that are visible from multiple viewing angles, even the same angles as pictured in Delta s official product photos. So, obviously there s some photo manipulation going on. That s just a shameful tactic. Come on Delta be up-front with your customers
