Check ALL parts before assemblingFirst crib arrived broken. The headboard was cracked all the way across, the front railing was splintered into many pieces. The replacement crib arrived and didn t have any broken pieces so we started to put it together. After we had everything out and started the assembly, we noticed the paint was messed up. After fighting to get the first crib back in the box and back to UPS I wasn t about to attempt another. Where the boards were glued together on the headboard the paint did not adhere to the glue. It is really noticeable but I m hoping we can do a touch up with a paint pen. It also has various nicks and scraps on it. They are all small but again noticeable to a person that is assembling. The directions were not as clear as I would like to have. We were able to figure it out, but it was through a lot of trial and error. Not all the hardware was there and the written directions did not match the pictures. The material does not leave a lot of room for trail and error. Not sure if it will hold up for the life of a bed but time will tell.
