Customer reviewsGreat frame...looks great
King size eastern king i think it was called ..make sure not to confuse with california king...fit my simmons king size perfectly. Comes in FOUR boxes...headboard, footboard, side rails and slat boxes. Did the entire thing myself in approx 2 hours. Put felt pads on the headboard and footboard posts if you have wood/lam flooring. Easy to assemble..but read the instructions first. The instructions are in one of the boxes and each box has a set of hardware with a string attached to the inside of the box so its easy to locate..oh and the hardware is marked for each box. Headboard went into the master bedroom...then footboard. Did the first side rail...LISTEN UP So the instructions give you the option of placing the side rails one of two ways: 1 side rail with support post DOWN for box spring with mattress... 2 side rail with support UP for NO box spring. Since I purchased this frame for its support slats and center support as I do not have/want a box spring, I followed instruction to the letter. The mattress sits VERY high...with no box springs, there is only approx 8 inches to the top of the headboard thing. If you have a box spring with the mattress, I would wager the spacing between top of mattress and top of headboard is mostly zero to only a few inches...of course you would follow the directions and put the side rails in the proper direction for box spring/mattress. I continue to repeat this as this step is EASY to mess up...lay the rails along the side as if they were put together..make sure the support rails are in the position you want higher position for no box spring...lower position for box spring/mattress and do it . installs easy..longest most painful part was installing the slats...the slats come with a beautiful nylon cord system that keeps them all together...a bit confusing at first to unbundle the slats...MAKE SURE the nylon binding is on TOP of the slats..easy to unravel the slats and have the cording below...the cording on top adds even more support. There is also a center brace with two feet that runs from center of bed down to the footboard and is bolted in at each end to the first and last slat...superb support...still not recommending you bounce on it but its sturdy. Some squeaking/creaking when I got on top the first time and I will imagine then sexy time comes with my countless girlfriends it will make some noise but...eh...whatcha gonna do all in all...very nice lower profile frame..highly recommend.
